Doug, I was an attendee at Raising Rents without raising turnover and I have a question for you. If you have every unit “uniquely priced” how do you stay within fair housing? Thanks!
Hi Laura ~ Thanks for attending the webinar and for your question. As long as the price for each unit is offered to everyone who is interested in leasing, there should not be any fair housing issues – well, any VALID fair housing issues. Where the fair housing issues typically arise is when we offer different prices to different customers for no apparent reason. I always recommend pricing – and, only when used as a last resort, specials and concessions – be attached to the unit and not the customer.
